Too Much At Stake

Every year when the Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqua tent goes up for the season, the locals turn out to help. Best friends Pat Kerry and Deb Lindberg are there at the tent raising, helping to start the season that brings thousands of tourists to the south shore of Lake Superior for music and entertainment. The fun stops abruptly when a body is found by the two friends and they are quickly embroiled in mystery, murder, and mayhem. Co-authors Deb Lewis and Pat Ondarko really are best friends who live near the shore of Lake Superior. Pat can go out on her front porch and whistle to Deb when it's time for coffee.

Friends for thirty five years and both recently retired from professional careers, the co-authors receive inspiration for their writing projects from their near daily coffee klatches at local coffeehouses.

In their previous lives, Pat Ondarko served several congregations in Minnesota and Wisconsin as a Lutheran pastor and Deb Lewis practiced family law in Ashland.
